Why do I need to mention this information?

Following a law passed on 28 December 2023, for donations received from 1 January 2024 onwards, nonprofits will have to give their donors' national registry number when submitting to Belcotax their list of donors.

For private individuals, this number can be found on the back of the Belgian identity card.
